I have Herbert Frederick Dares, b. 1880 in Porter's Lake, Halifax County, son of Frederick and Margaret Dares, farmers. Herbert was a carpenter living in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, NS when he married Annie Beatrice Carr on June 25, 1902. I am researching Carrs and have no Dare info at this point, so hoping to find out what happened to these folks. Am working my way through the census data now.
