Lenora Dargan, South Carolina

I'm grasping a straw! LENORA DARGAN was one of the 3 wives of Amos Ardan NETTLES in Sumter Co, SC - he was born in 1801. I know nothing about Lenora DARGAN. Here's the straw I'm hanging onto.

Timothy DARGAN Nettles came to Texas from SC shortly before Civil(?) War, commanded a Field Artillery Battery in Texas and the Louisiana campaigns.

Afterwards, Timothy DARGAN Nettles married a native of Horry SC who came to Leon Co Texas as a child with her parents in 1856 - Virginia Caroline Durant. (my Grandfather's sister.)

Timothy DARGAN Nettles was born in 1838 in South Carolina, died in Leon Co TX.

Why was his middle name DARGAN - unless he was a son of Lenora DARGAN and Amos A. Nettles of Sumter Co., SC???

HELP!
