Derek

I saw your messages and address on the Darley Genforum and I thought I'd drop you a line. I am also researching the Darley name. I have an Ann DARLEY marrying Jonathan WHITE in 1836 Barmborough (Barnburgh). They are my g-g-g-grandparents. In 1881 they are in Balby-cum-Hexthorpe with with her daughter Mary and her husband John Norwood. There is also a Conisborough connection - it is where Mary and John's son, William White Norwood, my great-grandfather was the vet (the house next to the Church).

Do they ring a bell?

I know of another Darley family from Harlington:

Mary / John / Mary / William H. & William Darley. I can follow William H. (b. abt 1826) and his family through the census but I don't know if they are related to my Ann Darley. If so she would have been their aunt or at least that generation ( b. abt 1806).

I would be very interested if you have any information on Darleys in Yorkshire.

regards
