My father purchased a copy of Lon Darley's book for each of my brothers and sisters and myself right after Lon Darley released it. About two years ago, I began rereading it with interest and built three websites of information as a result. I am descended from the Rev. Thomas Darley, John Wesley Darley, Sr., JW Darley, Jr. and Carrie Jane Darley Cook.

The addresses of my websites are:
http://members.aol.com/cybergts/thomas_darley.html
http://members.aol.com/cybergts/william_ashley.html
http://LaserSol.com/history/Green_River/GreenRiver2000.html

In the book, Lon Darley made the statement that John Wesley Darley, Sr. had married the granddaughter of Gen. William Henry Ashley, a man instrumental in opening the western U.S. and the founder of the Rendezvous System for supplying the Mountain Men. So, I built a website about Ashley, and then in 2000, the 175th anniversay of Ashley's epic journey to the Rocky Mountains, I went to the Green River Mountain Man Rendezvous in Pinedale, Wyoming and then built the website about the adventure.
