Darmody of Tipperary - Killed at Somme
Posted by: Sam Murphy Date: June 30, 2001 at 04:14:50
  of 63

Hi everyone, I'm trying to research my Great Grandfather whose surname was Darmody.

He was killed in the Battle of the Somme (1916?) before my Grandfather was born and so my great Grnadmother's Murphy name was used.

They may have lived in the village of Bansha, Co Tip. around the war.

Can anyone help? Any response would be greatly appreciated.
