Hi, my dad is from Nenagh, Tipperary and immigrated to Australia then New Zealand in about 1959. His name is William James and his dad was John ( not sure if that was short for James though). Prior to this I am not sure of the ancestory. James married a woman with the last name Condon. They had about twelve children in total. All immigrated to England and then some to the USA and NZ. We are the only Darmody family in NZ but have heard people say there are many in Aussie. I would be interested if there is a connection as know very little about the family tree.
