Hey Gary, I was having a senior moment when I wrote 1969. Blanche was born in 1869. Amos and Henrietta had 8 children. My great-grandmother Grace was their youngest child. My mother has fond memories of her great-grandmother Henrietta who was a gentle soul according to both my mother and grandmother. I got a look at Henrietta's Bible that is now "lost." I have no idea where it went, but Henrietta's father was Richmond v. Adams and her mother was Elizabeth Adams. According to my grandmother and her cousin, when the Adams came from Kentucky with their children, they came upon a band of Indians. A sixteen year old son who was mentally challenged shot and killed an indian. The Indians skinned the boy in front of his family in retribution. From my records, the boy's name was probably Thomas Adams.
