thanks to Susan Nass' help getting started, she nailed it right on the head by the way, i have found a few more layers to my family, but still am searching for more. here's what i've found so far: my grandfather, Floyd S. Darr was one of 6 children by Robert C. Darr, and Jennie L. (Marten) Darr, in Bates County, Mo. Robert was one of 10 children of M.C. Darr, and Eliza F.(Brown)Darr who lived in Round Grove, Marion County, Mo. according to the 1880 census. M.C. (Merril Clubb) Darr was born in Lawrence County, IL, and the son of Thomas Joseph Fenton Darr, and Matilda (Clubb) Darr. the 1830 census shows Joseph F. Darr, with wife, and 1 son, and is also listed as serving in the Black Hawk War. he was the son of John Darr, who lived in Woodford County, KY, and had 2 wives, the first: Elizabeth Shepard, and the second Dixon Freelove. that's as far as i've gotten so far, any additional info would be greatly appreciated. and i would be more than happy to share any info that i have to any who are interested. thank you.
