Saw your post on genforum and the name Darrow as a given name caught my I. I did a little checking and found 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 fe census as well as 1875 and 1885 Kansas State census for Darrow Blodget/Blodgett.

Family History and World Family Tree have entries for Darrow Blodget/Blodgett which show his father as Ezra Darrow and wife Nancy but no maiden name.

Darrow Blodget/Blodgett lived to be over 100 years old. He served with Scotts Ohio troops in the Mexican Wars per the 1885 Kansas State Census.

With a given name that unusual, it may be that his mother was a Darrow.

Don Darrow
