I am not tracing this family, but have the following information from a family history book in Grayson or Fannin CO.TX by Percy J.Darwin. " The earliest record we have of the Darwin Family in America is William(1707) and his wife Jane Wilkerson (1715) of VA.Stories indicate that William and two brothers came here from England. Lon Houston Darwin born Feb.11,1837 in Flynn's Lick,Jackson CO. TN, the third son of Mary Burke and William Green Darwin and the gg grandson of William and Jane Darwin. In My 1861 he enlisted in the Confederate Army under Ge.J.Johson. Served with Company K 8th reg of TN volunteers. He moved to Texas after the war. Maybe this will help .
