I am looking for the given name, and surname of the first wife of Richmond Darwin b. Oct. 1796 in York Co., South Carolina. His mother and father moved the family to Jackson Co., Tennessee about 1808 (not sure about that date). I find Richmond on the 1820 Jackson Co., Tennessee Census he is listed between his brother William Darwin, and father George Cowan Darwin. Richmond is with his 1st wife, and his son John G. Darwin age 0/5. On other Census I have found him with what looks to me this same wife. They are in Morgan Co. Alabama in 1830, in Randolph Co., Illinois in 1840 then in 1850 when you know your going to have all 1st names listed I find him living in New Orleans, Louisiana with his youngest daughter. In the 1960 Jackson Co., Tennessee I find Richmond with Mary Polly Stafford Butler Anderson and their Daughter Mary Margret Darwin b. abt. 1855. On this 1860 Census it has Mary Margret born in Illinois. On other Census it states Tenn. The only place I find anything on Mary Polly Stafford Butler Anderson Darwin is in Jackson, Tenn., and the last document I found for Richmond Darwin in Illinois was dated 1846 if I remember correctly. Any Idea's would be great.
