I almost fell out of my chair to see a reply to my Darwin query. My William A. Stephenson was a descendent of Samuel Stephenson of York County,S.C. He married Dolly Darwin in Madison County, Al. These Darwins were out of York County. George W. Darwin ,1799-1865, father of Dolly was the son of William Washington Darwin,1769-1852 and Jane Adams1774-?? Dolly grandparents were James Darwin-1744-1825 and Mary Cowan
1746-1818. Dollie's g-g--grandparents were William Darwin 1707-1786 of Louisa County,VA. Thanks for responding.
