Derevan/Darwin and Egan in Cork County

I am researching my paternal grandmother's line:

Her name: Mabel Eloise Derevan, Alturas, Modoc, CA, 1888

Her father: Joseph Henry Derevan, Cold Springs, NY 1849
Her mother: Rebecca Jane Doten, E. Knox, ME, 1859

Her gr-fthr: John Joseph Derevan, Cork Co., IRE <1825>
Her gr-mthr: Winfred Egan, Cork Co., IRE <1828>

Grandpa John has a brother named Michael. The name seems to be changed from Darwin. The only "Derevan" surname appears with this son in Alturas, Modoc, CA. I hope someone can tell me more about my family in Ireland.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this. Wishing you sunshine after the rains...

A Derevan/Egan descendant,
Roseburg, Douglas, Oregon
