I don't think Dempsey Howell Suite was b. in Northern France.

I am fairly sure he was bornin Halifax or Granville, Co. NC 30 Oct 1816. I am not sure who his parents were. I have seen people say he was a son of John SUITE & Tinsey HALLMAN.

There was also a Howell SUITE/SUTE/SHUTE in this area.

I do know Benjamin SUIT, who d. 1809-1810 in St. Mary's Co. MD (where some of the SUITE/SUIT who went to Granville Co. NC came from) went to the estate sale of a Mary HOWELL whose nee may have been Moreland in Jan. 1800 in Charles Co. MD.

This may be a HUGE clue about who Howell SUITE was. I think Dempsey HOWELL SUITE may have been his granson, but can't prove it.
