My Great Great Grandfather was John Darwood, born Doddington circa 1814/15. Unfortunately I have not been able to find his baptism. On his marriage certificate (to Ann Cordell in 1837 at Doddington)his father is stated to be William Darwood, a labourer. It is possible that this is the William buried in 1850 aged 64, giving a birth date of circa 1786 which would make him a strong candidate to be the son of Richard and Sarah Darwood who was baptised in 1787. I need the baptism of John to establish a firm connection (or not!) and then I would be able to construct a reasonable tree back to circa 1700.

I have quite a lot of Darwood information from the Registers if anyone needs help.
