I am the host of this site, and I feel that many of the Darwoods in the area of Hunts and Cambs are related. They seem to move back and forth accoss that line, such as it was, early on.

I only have mine back to 1695 to a John of Benwick who had sons Richard and John b. 1728 and 1730 in the area of Benwick and Wimblington, Cambs. Their children (1st cousins) married, a Sarah and Richard in 1779 and had several children/sons. One son David (b c 1782) came to the US in 1848 with most of his family. He was my 3rd g-grandfather.

Other of their children/g-children moved into Hunts. Some of those descendants came to the US c 1900 - to Washington state.

Darwood was my maternal grandmother's maiden name. I am in Texas, near Dallas.

Would like to correspond, Celeste Holly
