Dasher Family
Posted by: Brenda Ulmer Date: June 02, 2001 at 15:54:22

I have a deed dated December 3, 1831 in which Godlieb Shearouse is selling 125 acres of land in Effingham County to Samuel Dasher. The deed is witnessed by John Dasher and Nathaniel Lettler. I am trying to determine the connection of these people to the Ulmer family. Any information would be appreciated. Interestingly enough, when Godlief signed his name, it is spelled Sherouse. The body of the deed spells the name with the "a".
