Hi Jessie,
The spelling in the census records are not always correct. He was probably a boatman, not a boadman. A boatman lived on the canal boat as it was being pulled by the mule teams through the canals in Pennsylvania.

I can offer the following information about Henry and Eliza Daubert and their children.
Henry (Harry) was born April 10, 1820., Blue Mountain Church record, Strausstown, he died November 30, 1878. He married Elizabeth (Eliza) Rehrer on November 28, 1841 at Zions Lutheran Church, Jonestown. Elizabeth was born April 4, 1822, died January 12, 1903, was the granddaughter of John Jacob Rehrer, the founder of Rehrersburg. Both are buried in the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
Children of Henry and Eliza.
A.Thomas, B. Anne, C. Henry W., and D.Jacob
A. Thomas Godfrey b. Oct. 14, 17817 Pine Grove. died September 5, 1905. married Mary Ann Clements March 26,1870.
B. Anne married Henry Minnich, both were born and died in Pine Grove.
C. Henry William born May 14, 1849. Swatara Township Lebanon died July 1, 1918 Lebanon. He married Mary Anna Hoffman on August 2, 1868. Henry was a boatman on the Union Canal until the railroads came through.
D. Jacob born about 1850 Pine Grove died February 24, 1905 in Pine Grove. Married Lydia Koch born September 11, 1887, died March 1957.
Children of Jacob and Lydia:
1. Elsie born December 30, 1897.
2. Elmer born October 27, 1895.
3. Earl born April 21, 1900.
4. John born June 24, 1903.
5. Roy born March 27,1905.

I got this information from a copy of the family genealogy my Aunt Margaret (Dupert) Miller had. She received it from Russell B. Daubert East Lansing Michigan. She provided him with information about our branch of the family tree and in return he gave her a copy of his reasearch.
Henry (Harry)who was born April 10, 1820 was a brother to Peter born April 10, 1806 in Werenersville Berks County died April 26, 1877 buried in Old Salem Cemetery Armagh Twonship Siglerville, Mifflin county. My great grandfather was Daniel Russell Daubert, who was a son of Peter. My great grandmother changed the family name to Dupert because of a family argument. The inscription on my great grandfather's headstone says Daniel Russell Dupert not Daniel Russell Daubert.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this branch of the family tree. But thought I'd still pass along what I had in hopes that it helps.
