I, also, and looking to see if (John) Walter Daux and wife Mary had a daughter named Susannah. This Susannah was purportedly the wife of John Turberville (Turbeville, Turbeyvil, etc) and had a son named Richard. This is unsupported, therefore mythology.

I have Mary's last name spelled as "Plaire."

And, yes, Virginia was a small town at this time. The colonists died like flies - lots of remarriages, re-remarriages, widows (guys died oftener), orphans, guardians, and disputed inheritances.

The moral is: Wait until a colony is established before immigrating.
