Sorry, I have a Donald Davenport cousin, and I inadvertently typed Donald instead of Douglas. I had two cousins with MS (mother: Mary Davenport Robertson), and her daughter had two boys with MS. I have congenital scoliosus, which may have a genetic link to MS. Have you looked into any DNA projects?
We run into difficulty with the "John" Davenports, too. It's a shame the courthouse at Plymouth burned, I think we might have found a link there. If we travel backward from one John we get to French ancestry that appeared in England just after 1066. The more I research, the more I understand myself: Unionist Davenports marrying Confererate Johnstons; Irish Collins with English Blounts! Possible links to the French! What a stew! Thanks. BDT
