Carl,
How I recieved my info on Sallie Davenport, was from her
grandson,Gordon Burnett, this is Sallie and Samuel A. Burnett, son Robert Wesley Burnett b 1876 d 1963 m
Ruth Louise Venn b 1886 d 1971 youngest son. Gordon Burnett
said that his dad Robert told him their names, and that
his dad died young. But Gordon could not remember what happened to his grandmother. She is not buried in AL with
Samuel A. Burnett to my knowledge. Their is not a tombstone
there. The second confirmation, I received was when I
visited Chattanooga Library. I was looking at the book
The Story of Marion Co. TN and it's people and Places. 1990
page 238-239. Under Reeves section it is listed as Samuel A. and Sallie Davenport, daughter Oma Burnett b 1875 d 1919
m George W,. Reeves b 1871 d 1950 both buried in James Cem
in Long Island AL. beside her father Samuel A. Burnett.
In this book it tells of Oma Burnett and George Reeves
daughter Fannie Reeves marriage to Charlie Durham. And it
list them Samuel and Sallie Davenport Burnett as her maternal grandparents. I hope that this helps.

My connection
