It's been a while since I posted anything about my direct-line, so thought I'd try once again to find other relatives of this clan. I know several of my GGGF's siblings made the trek from Tennessee to Texas and into Oklahoma in the late 1800s.
Elisha Bell Davenport was my GGGF who settled in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma (I.T.) in the late 1800s and lived out his life there.
Below is information about this family, and I'd sure like to make contact with some of the siblings' descendants... especially those still in Oklahoma...
Elisha Bell Davenport, b. 1833 TN, d. 1910 OK.
married twice: in 1853 to Lucy Green, and abt 1861 to Josephine Summers. There were no children born to Lucy. The following are Elisha and Josephine's children:
1. George William b. April 6, 1863 TN, d. February 21, 1955
2. John Lee Davenport b. January 14, 1866 TN
3. Thomas L. Davenport b. 1867 TN
4. Frances C. Davenport b. July 1870 TN, d. March 25, 1951
5. Infant died at birth
6. Azalene Davenport b. 1874 Cannon Co TN, d. 1968
7. Edward Amzie Davenport b. October 10, 1876 TN, d. Sept. 10, 1959
8. Oskar A. Davenport b. June 13, 1878 TN, d. 1963 OK
9. Infant died at birth
10. Jessie B. Davenport b. December 1882 TX, d. February 26, 1958 OK
11. Rosella Davenport b. January 1884 TX
12. Orbie B. Davenport b. June 13, 1885 TX, d. March 30, 1915 OK
13. Bessie Davenport b. July 1887 TX
