Descendants of Rebecca Cobb Gentry, through her first marriage to Unknown Cobb (sons Alexander/Sanders and Jeremiah) and her second marriage to Simon Gentry (Daniel, Lewis, possibly Isaac, Elizabeth and Allen, plus few daughters whose names are unknown) ... You are invited to attend a gathering to share family stories and pictures to be held in late October in Jemison, Chilton County, Alabama. This initial gathering will be to dedicate a memorial stone for Alexander and Ruth Banks Cobb.
Besides the Cobb and Gentry surnames, collateral lines include the known surnames of Arnold, Banks, Campbell, Davenport, DeShazo, Giles, Goodgame, Goss, Honeycutt, Hubbard, Lawhon, Rigden, Thames for descendants of Alexander. And Bates, Bradley, Campbell, Coolhand, Corley, Goggans, Hoggard, Langley, Norwood, Raney, Rowland, Smith and Stokes for descendants of Jeremiah.
I have not researched the Simon Gentry family as thoroughly, so cannot list as many surnames connected with the descendants listed above. Known at this time are Davenport, Giles, Gore, Motes, Swinney and Whatley.
