Hello, all Davenports --- I am looking for the father and, hopefully the mother as well, to my many-times gr. grandfather, Isaac Jr., born 22 July 1796 and d. 11 Feb 1851 in or around Phillips, Maine. I would assume that father's name is also Isaac, but beyond that I have no leads (this info is in the family Bible. The family story is that Isaac Sr. was given land in what is now Farmington, ME, right after the Revolutionary War,in payment for his services, and, after his death, his widow, Susannah (at least, that's the name we think she had),sold that property then took her sons and came further into the wilderness to homestead again.
We also would love to know who Isaac Jr.'s siblings were. Did he have a brother Benjamin who went down South later? It could explain the numerous Isaacs that seem to show up down there....
