Hi - Your Davenports seem to have some similarity to mine. I am researching Mary Davenport, born 1809, lived at Knob Hall, Baguley, Cheshire. She had a sister Ann who married a Taylor but I don't know if she was connected to Over Peover or Styal.
Mary married an Allen (John?) and later lived in Stretford, Manchester. She was my great, great grandmother and I was told by my mother that she was related to the Davenports of Bramall and Capesthorne.
I am also stuck at the moment because I can't find any written records of her birth or marriage, although I've found her on later census records.
