Emma Davenport is my great grandmother. She was raised by a lawyer, because both parents died, and may have received an inheritance from a grandfather. That grandfather may be Chappel Davenport, because Emma had a son by that name and spelling, and I have seen it no where else. Chappel Davenport died about 1861. any help would be appreciated.
