I know a lot about this family and yet virtually nothing at all.
William's parents were David M.P. Davenport and Rebecca Cochran. William David Davenport was born 16 Apr 1849 in North Carolina. He died 8 Nov 1938. He married Margaret Ramey about 1870.(Margaret was born 8 Apr 1849 in South Carolina.)
According to William's death certificate, he was born on 16 April (year not given) in North Carolina. His full name is Rev. William D. Davenport and his residence is Rock Face R-1. His father is listed as Mack Davenport born in North Carolina and his mother is listed as Rebecca Catheru (that's what it looks like) born in North Carolina. William died in Walker County, GA on 8 Nov 1938; he was 89 years old. His marital status is widowed. His occupation is Preacher. The informant was Mrs. J.C. Morrison of Dalton, GA. 9. John born unknown and died after Oct. 1966.
