How in the world could I have missed this post last year- (Lisa's). Was just going over Davy-Pringle info again last nite and have found your reply here Lisa to Reg Davy. Thank goodness Reg posted the info that he did, and I can't rem. what he said to me about where he got that info. It almost sounds as if it came off of headstones? Old family notes and history?
Lisa- can you please post more info here, or write to me directly. I spent long hours trying to prove that John Benjamin Davey or Davy was married first to Eunice Pringle and have some info that I put together for him/them which I sent to Lenore Wright last year. Do you have other info Lisa, or are you a desc. in this family or just working on Davey-Pringle info?
I believe that John Benjamin Dunham Davey was a son of Michael Davey and Elizabeth Friermouth and that he did not die before Michael wrote his will as I have seen some people post. In fact, I think it is Sandi Sullivan who has posted John B. D.'s request for a land grant in 1840, and in that petition he is referred to as Benjamin Dunham Davy.
Benjamin was married to Eunice Pringle who died just before the 1871 census was taken; they lived at Clarendon. I have seven or eight children for them (seven and eight may be the same gal) including three older daughters who were already married by the 1871 census and not in Benjamin's home in 1871.
Then I found same Benjamin on 1881 census at Portland as info that Lisa has posted with Roxana and Ella....Lenore Wright did not think this was same Benjamin but I always did believe it was him........and now, Lisa can I please find out more about Roxana is you have it and let's swap info for this family?
Thanks from Nora
