Stephen David from Canada
Posted by: Jay David (ID *****8048) Date: December 27, 2009 at 08:52:21

I've started a search for the furthest known trace to my last name David. As of now I've ended with STEPHEN DAVID who was born in 1812 or 1817 in Montreal Quebec Canada and ran away (supposedly at age 12) and ended up in Calhoun County, Illinois (just north of Saint Louis, MO). I have some information once he settled here and started a family, but I would love to find more information on his parents/siblings from Canada and when they arrived there. Any help or resources are appreciated!!

I also have information that he was buried at Peyton Creek Cemetery but cannot find a cemetery with that name in Illinois.
