My name is Earl David and I am a 9th generation descendent of my 6th great grandfather, Jean Pierre David dit Saint Michel. This might be a stretch for a connection between these 2 ancestors, but Jean Pierre was born in Nantes, France in 1695. He migrated to New France between 1710 and 1715 and along with his wife Marie Magdeleine Monmillion raised quite a large family of 18 children in Louisbourg between 1717 and 1758. His 2nd son and my 5th great grandfather, Michel David, was deported from Grand Pre in 1755 during Le Grand Derangement and eventually made his way to southeast Louisiana along with many other Acadians. I have quite a bit of research on their lives in New France but virtually nothing of Jean Pierre's infant, adolesent and young adult life in France. If you think there may be a connection in France between our 2 descendents, let me know. Always looking for a new lead, wherever.
By the way, I have posted numerous comments on this forum over the years but none lately. You may want to go back and review some of my comments for more information on my research.
