Mollie Rose Davidson, 95, of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN,
went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at
Sunbridge Hillside Manor Healthcare in Kingsport.
She was born in Russell County, VA and moved to the area
at an early age. Mollie was a homemaker and a member of
State Line Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Davidson; a
son, Buddy Davidson, a granddaughter, Leslie Jon Miller;
her parents, Jim and Alice Vanderpool Rose; two sisters,
Nannie Johnson and Estelle Wells and five brothers,
Charles, Oscar, Stewart, Britton and Preston Rose.
Mollie is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law,
Mrs. Delores Jennings and husband Jack, Mrs. Phyllis D.
Canipe and husband Artie all of Kingsport, TN, and Ms.
Ireates Miller of Birmingham, AL; a son and daughter-in-
law, Carl Wayne Davidson and wife Debbie; eight grand-
children; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great
grandchild; one sister, Ruby Parsons of Highlands, IN; two
brothers, Grover Rose and Denver Rose both of VA; special
friends, Jannie and Ken Lane of Kingsport, along with
several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday,
March 10, 2008 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga
Street, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.
in the chapel with Rev. Boyd Holder, officiating.
Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March
11, 2008 in the Morrison City Church Cemetery, Kingsport.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at
10:55 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Welmers,
Gerrit Welmers, Calan Canipe, Terry Light, Jared Light,
Ian Davidson and Coltin Gregg.
Carter Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport is honored to serve
the family of Mollie Davidson.
