In regards to a message I had posted previously, I sent away to England for the marriage reg. of William Davidson to Elizabeth Marshall which took place July 19, 1864 at Westminster, London. William was born about 1842 at Ratho, to parents Andrew Davidson and his wife Margaret Aitkin. Margaret Aitkin was the daughter of William Aitkin and Helen Somerville and was born at Carnwath, Lanarkshire.
Margaret married Andrew Davidson on July 4, 1834 at Carnwath, Lanarkshire. The marriage reg. does not give names of their parents so I am stuck at trying to find out whose son Andrew was. He was born about 1808-1813 at Lasswade and died Nov. 9 1885 at Glasgow. His death reg. does not give names of his parents either.
If anyone has info on this Andrew Davidson or possibly on other Davidsons who were born at Lasswade and then perhaps lived at Ratho, (and then Glasgow?), please contact me.
