Trying to confirm that William Davidson and Elizabeth Charlton, who were married in Montgomery Co., Vir. in 1785, are parents of the Charlton B. Davidson who appears in the 1840 McCracken Co., Ky census, 1839 Stewart Co., Tenn. Census, and 1829 Todd Co., Ky. census. I am fifth generation decendant of this Charlton B. Davidson.
Some Internet sources say Charlton B. Davidson was born in 1786 to William Davidson and Elizabeth Charlton and that Willaim and Elizabeth lived in Davidson Co., Tenn. at the time of their deaths in the 1830's. I have not been able to connect Charlton B. Davidson with parents through birth or census records or place him anywhere earlier than 1820 Todd Co., Ky. census. Thanks for any help.
