DAVIES-SMITH--At the home of the bride’s brother, Geo. E. Smith, Tuesday evening, June 6, 1905, Albert William Davies of Mena, Arkansas, and Miss Jessie Grayce Smith of Longmont, Rev. C. H. Howell officiating.
It was a private wedding, only immediate relatives and friends being present. The decorations were very neat and pretty, there being an archway of snowballs, beside the trimming of crepe paper in various colors. The ceremony commenced promptly at eight o’clock, Miss Winifred Smith playing the wedding march on the piano and Miss Mayme Smith on the violin. After the ceremony came the wedding supper which was unusually fine.
The contracting parties become acquainted while on a trip to Yellowstone Park in 1903. The bride has held the position of principal of the Bryant school for several years, and ranks among our best teachers. She will be greatly missed in educational circles. Mr. Davies, the groom, is a comparative stranger to Longmont, and we can only congratulate him on making no mistake in choosing his life companion. He is connected with a slate factory at Mena, Ark.
