Hello Gary & Luis! That's right our name did originate from Avila, Spain. I had been working on our lineage since 1981 and discovered that a group of Davila's settled in Puerto Rico near 1740-1760 and were prosperous land owners. I know that some family members moved from Utuado, PR to Aibonito, PR and Coamo, PR in the 1920's...not to mention Florida, Texas, Chicago, New York, and even Oklahoma in the USA. Yes others spread to Venezuela and Colombia from Puerto Rico. I'd love to exchange stories, if you are serious about esttablishing a DNA link between our bloodline! I'm on myspace.com/eldjuo/ if you decide to check out my website.
