There is a Mary DAVIS who is incorrectly identified as Mary Haynes Davie. Mary DAVIS m. Uriah Blanchard 16 Jan 1807 in Columbia Co, GA and d. 7 Dec 1846 in Harris Co, GA, leaving a will naming surviving children and grandchildren. Mary DAVIS and Uriah Blanchard named the same children in their respective wills and were married from their 1807 wedding until Uriah's death in 1842. They are both buried on their land in Harris Co, GA. I am interested in the parents of this Mary DAVIS.
I am a direct descendant of Mary Haynes Davie whose only husband was John Crockett, of which I have multiple evidences of proof, such as the bible of Mary Haynes Davie Crockett, and a US Supreme CT decision concerning the inheritance of the plantation of William Richardson Davie which names all of his grandchildren alive in 1820. (None of the children of Uriah Blanchard were named, and Mary Haynes Davie was not yet married.) I fear this mistake will never be corrected, but if anyone has information about the real Mary DAVIS who married Uriah Blanchard, I would apprectiate it.
