John Davis - death 1906 Ector Co TX

I have come up with the first new clue for my grt grt gf in a long time this afternoon. Wondering if someone might assist me in the possibility this is my ancestor or just as appreciated, info that would show this is not him.

I've found a John Davis death cert for Ector Co TX 1906 who would be the correct age. There is no other helpful info on this document. My John Davis was in Hood Co 1900 then disappeared. He did have children who went to west TX so perhaps this is a good lead.

Any information/clues would be so appreciated. My grt-grt gf was born 1835 TN, came to east TX with his first family, wife Sarah Hicks & son Tom who was born in Ark; they had a daughter Sarah Jane who married Geo. Dennis Woodard. Evidently 1st wife died; he married Ann Pritchard in Ellis Co and they had Jennie, Molly & Joe. Tom was in Parker Co and then on to Oregon; the rest spent a great deal of time in west TX and also some of John's siblings as well. Thank you, Sandra
