Thanks LaRue for answering so quickly ! The FORD family members listed in Anson Co. NC were : Alexander, Edward, ISAAC, Richard and Thomas. However, I have no idea if they are related to the other FORD family you mentioned. Thought I should look up the name of LOVE in ANSON CO. NC and this is what I have found in the book, " ANSON CO. NC : ABSTRACTS of EARLY RECORDS" by May Wilson McBEE ( she transcribed all the old records she could find available of those early settlers in Anson and surrounding areas. ). LOVE ( surname in ANSON CO. NC which was formed in 1750 from BLADEN CO. NC ) ALEXANDER pg. 105 BENJAMIN pg. 115 DANIEL pg. 102 DAVID pgs. 64, 65, 84,90.92, 93, 94, 95, 99, 104, 105, 106, 107,109, 138, 141, Col. DAVID pgs. 107, JAMES pgs. 110, 114, 126, 152 JOHN pg. 135 ROBERT pgs. 29, 115 ( transcribed below ) WILLIAM pgs. 24, 25, 51, 62, 105,107, 110, 115, 126, 136, 138, 149, 150, 155. ROBERT LOVE on pg. 29 of ABSTRACTS of DEEDS in ANSON CO. NC : ABSTRACTS of EARLY RECORDS “ by May Wilson McBee : “ 1. Cumberland Co. ( N. C. ) D. B., 2 –16. 10 May 1752, NICHOLAS SMITH of Bladen, for 30 Pounds VA. Money, to THOS. COLLINS, of same, 450 Acres south of DEEP RIVER on BUCK CREEK, whole of pat., it being the land and plantation where the sd. NICHOLAS SMITH settled and cleared on. Wit: THOS. RICHARDSON, ROBT. LOVE, Prov. 12 Oct. 1754. “ ROBERT LOVE on pg. 115 of same book : “ ABSTRACTS of WILLS “ “ page 20 – Will of WM. LOVE, of Anson Co., May 7, 1753. Very sick, to my loving father all entryes of land made in my own name. JOHN CLARK told me that he paid for the surveying of four tracts of sd. Land. Wit : ROBERT ( X. ) LOVE , BENJ ( X. ) LOVE, signed by WILLIAM LOVE. “ Perhaps there were more than one William Love as the name also appeared in court records in RICHMOND CO. NC in 1782. As I recall Richmond County also had once been a part of Anson, before it too was formed later on. With the name of both ROBERT LOVE and WILLIAM LOVE being on same Will of WILLIAM LOVE, I wondered if these could be a LOVE family related to yours in SC ? Many of the early settlers of ANSON CO. NC were out of VA to NC then some split going down into SC and GA later on from Anson Co. NC. Tina Notify Administrator about this message?
