I am looking for information on William James Davison who was born in County Tyrone in 1799. He died about August 1859 in Aughnacloy, Tyrone.
He married Margaret Leonard - or a variation of Leonard - about 1844. I do not know if she was a first or second wife. Margaret was born in 1824 in Tyrone and died 20 July 1876 in New York City.
Margaret emmigrated to NYC, possibly via Canada, with her son, James William Davison, sometime in the late 1860's. I do not know if William and Margaret had any other children, or if William had children from a possible first marriage.
James was born in Tyrone in 1845. He served in the RIC for about one year when he was 18 or 19 before he emmigrated to the USA, possibly via Canada. He was a longshoreman, possibly working for a French shipping company. He may have been married to a woman named Margaret when he emmigrated. If so, she would have died shortly afterwards. He married Anne/Anna Byrne(s)in February 1872 in New York City. Anne/Anna was born in County Monaghan in 1846.
James died 12 November 1916 in New York City. Anne/Anna died 21 July 1924 in New Jersey.
Familysearch.org shows a William Davison was christened on 26 July 1802 in Donaghmore, Tyrone. This is the only William Davison I have been able to locate who could have been born in 1799, since christenings often did not take place until a child was several years old. This possible ancestor's parents were John Davison - born about 1767 in Castlecaulfield, Donaghmore - and Margaret - born about 1771 in Castlecaulfield. They were married about 1792 in Donaghmore.
I would like to know if John and Margaret are the parents of the William Davison I am looking for. Also any more information on William and his wife Margaret Leonard/variation of Leonard name, as well as their son James, and any other children that they may have had.
