It appears that George P. Davisson and Eldon L. Davisson were born of the same Mother. Eldon L. was my Grandfather and either the brother or half brother of George P.
This Davisson name is difficult to trace though, as they keep dropping an "s" or adding a "d" in the middle of Davisson.
My father was Dean W Davisson, son of Eldon L. and Lizzie Davisson. This would make him the probable nephew of George P.
I don't know if this helps you, but if you want to pursue my side, I'll give you what I have.
