My lineage comes from Scotland when Daniel Davidson migrated to Va with sons, James, John, Samuel. Samuel Davidson was my 6 gr grandfather who married Elizabeth Brock Callahan in Harlan co. Kentucky and they had 10children there. She died and was buried in Benge,KY one son remained behind Nick(Wayne) Davidson know as Dangerous Nick.Samuel married second wife Mary Polly Wilson and they migrated to MO &IA they had a second set of ten children. One of the children's name was Ira Davidson. Our line did a family history book the only one in existance besides the J.C> Hurst Manuscripts and Asbury Notes of KY. The Brock, Callahans, Davidson, Cornetts, Combs. Duffs, Wilson settled Wallin's Creek,KY in the counties of perry, harlan, clay, hazard. They had numerous cattle fueds which led some of them to migrate to IA and MO. I have been researching for over 10 years the Cherokee lineage in our family which came from the Brocks and Callahan and Wilson,s. Most of the Davidson later Davison moved to Iowa and Mosouri, they lived right on the border and crossed over many times. They settled Page co. IA and a monuental marker is still there to this day on the old homestead lived on by Kenny Davison.email me at judyahill@yahoo.com
