Thanks for your messege. I am at a total loss with this family. No one seems to have any info about my great-grandparents. They were Jereom William Davidson & Mary Knight-Gulff. They had 12 children & one of them was an Ira, but I don't think it is the same Ira that you spoke of. However, your Ira could be a cousin or uncle or even Jerome's father. No one knows where Jerome came from.
It makes sense that the Davidsons had crop fueds because they were sharcroppers all their lives, it was the only thing they knew how to do. My grandfather (Clair Davidson) was a liar & braggert, so this has made it very hard to find these ancestors. I will not give up!! Thanks again,
