Hi, my name is Janiece Formica.

My father was John Michael Davoren born 9.2.1926 and died 9.3.1998. He had an older sister Jean who died when she was 8. He has a first cousin named John Hogan (no more information on John Hogan).

His father was Matthew Walter Davoren born 1893 at Bathurst who married mary Florence Wile 25.6.1921. Matthew died of TB. Matthew's brother was Michael Joseph Davren - commonly known as Michael Joseph Davoren born 1890 Bathurst. They had 2 sisters living - one being Mary Ann Davern - commonly known as Davoren and 3 sisters dead at the birth of Matthew. The reasons for the change in spelling was whoever registered the births, be it a friend, relative or neighbour if they could spell the name correctly or not that was how it was recorded.

Their father was Dennis Davoren born 1864 in Tipperary Ireland married Maria (unknown surname) in 1879. Dennis was one of 9 siblings to leave Tipperary for Australia. Two of the siblings were Margaret and Mary. The siblings settled in South Australia, Western Australia and New South Wales. One sister went to America. She had one son who was not interested in keeping in touch with the rest of the family for whayever reason.

If anyone has information relating to my family tree please leave me a message or email at
