Davoren/Daborne/Devoran Surnames

Hello Researchers,

I am trying to establish the origin of my Deveron/Devoran/Daborne line who married into the Clary family in Maryland late 1600's to early 1700's. I know the Clarys came from Ireland, not certain of county. And uncertain about location of the Deverons.

Supposedly, the progenitor, Manus/Magnus Deveron/Devoran emigrated to the shores of Maryland c. 1680 and I find him as a witness in court records of Anne Arundell Co.,Maryland as Marcus Daverin on 17 August 1691 and as Marcus Davoren on 7 December 1691.

Does the Deveron name of various spellings stem from the early Irish Daborne/Daboirin/Dabhoirean surname?

Would appreciate any information concerning these surnames. Thank-you, Willie Gail
