Here are some notes/questions for you and Kristi:
1)I have a DOB for David Thomas as 8 Apr 1838, death date 25 Sep 1911 (Davenport Cemetary). What about Ann?I have a note that her tombstone dates wer illegible.
2)There is a marriage record for an Ann E. Thomas that married William T. Bell (b. 3/15/1836, d. 5/14/1879) on 9/19/1857 in Knox Co.I know that David married a Nancy J. Bell on 1/29/1857.
3)Did you get the info on James O Day living in Blount Co at from the marriage bond? I had assumed he came straight from VA to Knox, TN, so this is helpful. (As mentioned earlier, the 1850 and 1860 census records list his place of birth as VA)
4)I have no info on Sarah's death/burial/parents.
5)My gg grandfather was William Henry Day, Sarah's son and your Margaret's brother.
6)Census records for 1850 and 1860 list a discrepancy regarding the children of James and Sarah:
1850James O. Day41
Sarah31
Ann E.13
David Thomas13
Ann E. Thomas11
Matilda J.9
Susan C.7
Mary J5
William H.2
Sarah6 mos
1860James Day50
Sarah40
Sarah23
Jane18
Elen15
William12
Montgomery10
Margareth8
Rebecca3
Josephine8 mos
Who is the first Ann E?
Who is the 23yo Sarah?
Who is Matilda J (Jane?)
What about Susan?
Did 6 mo old Sarah die before the 1860 census?
7)I have an 1880 census record for Knox Co that shows a John H Day (age 67) whose wife was Anne Davenport (buried in Davenport Cemetery) with children Charles, Cordie, Lafayette, Flora, William, Martha. If James O. had lived he would have been abt 70.Perhaps this is a brother to James O??????
8)What state do you ladies live in?? I'm in Tennessee.
Thanks for responding!Stacy
