Lucy Day, d/o Ebenezer Day & Hannah Downing, b. 15 Oct 1722 in Gloucester, MA, m. Morris Somes 24 Mar 1739/40 in Gloucester. Morris d. in Cape Breton, French Canada, in 1746. Following his death, Lucy relocated to Newcastle, Lincoln, ME, with her young family: Lucy b.24 Jul 1740, Sarah b. 19 Dec 1742, David b. 11 Feb 1743/44 and Abigail b. 19 Sep 1746, all in Gloucester. Her younger brother Job Day had preceded her to Newcastle, so I have assumed that she went to live in his household. Job b. 30 Apr 1731 in Gloucester m. Susanna Tilton 25 Dec 1754 in Ipswich, MA. I have been able to follow the fortunes of the children Lucy (m. Joseph Emmerton), Sarah (m. Zachariah Dodge) and David (my ancestor, m. Jennet Hopkins). I have not been able to discover what happened to Lucy (Day) Somes and her dau. Abigail. Anyone know anything?
