Samuel Day Cousin to Daniel Boone???

Hi, Can anyone give me information on Samuel Day being a cousin to Daniel Boone? I have read this in our family history but cannot link the lines up. (connect the dots, so to speak!)

Samuel Day b. 1757 (I have been told he was a first cousin to Daniel Boone)
Wife--Margaret Cohague b. 1764 (sp. possibly Cohagen) married 1780

John Day b. 1732 (Samuel's father)
Nee (?Martha) Nichols (married 1749)--(Samuel's Mother)
