I have just gone back to researching my Kentucky "Day" ancestors. I have a Nancy Ann Day who married William Whobrey in Mercer Co., KY on 11 Feb 1803; it was my belief that she was born in Mecklenburg, VA to John Day & Frances Childers sometime around 1780, but I am not at all sure of this.
I also have another John Day ancestor who settled in Grayson/Edmonson Co., KY before 1803; he was married to Frankie (Frances?) Gross; I believe they were also born in Virginia, but I have not yet been able to verify that. I am also thinking that this John Day may have had a brother, Joseph Day, who was born in the 1760s in Botecourt, VA and died in Grayson Co., KY.
