Lebbeus Day b. 1832 Switzerland County, Indiana

Lebbeus Day b. 1832, Switzerland County, Indiana to Daniel Day [of Lebbeus Day, b. NJ] and Martha J. Tolland, might be the one that served in Co L, 1st Regiment, Indiana Heavy Artillery (Union).

Note: There was also an older Lebbeus/Libius Day b. 1825 in Clermont Co., OH.

I cannot find Lebbeus Day b. 1832 after 1860 federal census except for a possible civil war record and a pension file for the widow.

Now the pension was filed in Missouri about 1891 on Lebius Day. The widow was named Almira Comstock on the index card. Not sure what this means, was she remarried to a Comstock and was widowed a 2nd time, etc. The strange thing is Lebbeus/Libius in Ohio married an Elmira Armacost in 1854.

So perhaps its the older one that served in the War and mine just disappeared....

Anybody got a better clue/answer???
