I have a Rainey Days or R. W. Days in my family tree of African decent. His father was Sandy Days and his mother was Minda. Sandy was in the Civil War and a pension record was found. Rainey Days was born in South Carolina. His WPA record dated 1942 show he was born in Joycetown, SC.

Recorded in his daughter Inez's Bible was that Rev. R. W. Days died in 1954. They moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1928. He was found in the 1920 Census living in Sampson County, NC and 1930 Census living in New York. Church minutes of 1920, 1921, 1922 and 1923 he was listed as Rev. R. W. Days confirming that he was indeed a reverend.

Please let me know if you have any of these names in your family tree and are willing to share any information.

Thank you.
